Days 3&4 of the Brave, Bold, Blogger Challenge (BBBC) issued by my moto-blog friend Kathy, aka Toadmama!
Yesterday I completed my second post, albeit on the third day of the February challenge, and today (Day 4) I am again taking advantage of the ‘no rules’ philosophy and combining days 3 and 4 to get current!
The prompts for days 3 and 4 are not related so I will address them separately.
#3 Least favorite household chore
Well, this one is easy, ALL of them! Seriously, I hate ALL household chores, but if forced to choose the one I hate the most, I guess that would be cleaning toilets. Something about being that close to the bowl makes me want to yak. 😉
I guess I should say that the exception to my hatred of household chores, in general, is doing them in the RV. At about 400 square feet, the hub and I can split up the chores, and finish cleaning the whole thing in less than 30 minutes. And bonus, he usually does the toilets! ❤
#4 Annual mileage goal
Hmmm, I’ve never set an annual mileage goal before. Since we’ve retired, the mileage has just seemed to accumulate, between motorcycle trips and RV/motorcycle trips, each year. My 2008 R1200GS has clocked about 82k so far, so I am going to pull a number out of thin air and say I will hit 90k this year, or about 8000 miles.
80k milestone reached on November 26, 2016
We haven’t actually planned any motorcycle or RV/motorcycle trips for this year yet, but since we’re hoping to see Utah and the surrounding states, I think 8k is doable. I look forward to reading what the rest of the challengers predict! Vroom Vroom! 🏍
ooo we’ve clocked mileage too but it comes in chunks. I hate housework too. Anywhoo, our plan is to be in Washington State this year. Well shall see. 🙂

Yes, our miles really come in chunks too, but it adds up quick on the bikes because we don’t have a car with us in the RV. Maybe on our respective ways west we will cross paths! 🙂

80K! :0 <- I'll let the emoji date me. And my use of the word emoji. I see a number like that and I think of all the quality saddle time that must have been spent on the trusty GS. I'm green with envy. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by Jason! Yes, many quality miles and trips on this GS. 🙂 For probably fifteen years, we did almost all our trips and vacations on our bikes. When we retired and bought the RV we started towing them, but still put almost as many miles on the bikes as we do the RV. Our intent was to use the RV as our base and explore each area and great motorcycle roads on the bikes, and we have indeed!

Utah, eh. Maybe I’ll see you at the MOA rally in SLC. That’ll be in the middle of our RV trip next summer…

Cool, Richard! We will be in our RV too. Are you camping on site at the rally? I will have to go check out your blog further, I didn’t realize you were an RVer too.

No, I’ll be about 5 miles away at the Pony Express RV park. Same price, full hookups. The park was suggested by
Charlie6 of Redlegsrides.blogspot.com who will also be there.
We just picked up a fifth wheel (RV #5 for me) but there has been quite a gap since #4 was sold. I think it was pre-blog. And just recently retired.

Well, full hookups would be nice, but we’ll be fine for a few days. I will definitely look for you and Charlie during the rally. Welcome back to RVING! And congrats on retirement! We are going on 2 years retired and loving it! 🙂

Hey, all the cool kids will be at SLC! I’m thinking of riding up and tent camping. Think anyone will mind that I am on a V-Strom?! 🙂

Come on and join us! The majority of the attendees do tent camp, and all bike brands are welcome. We might even lure you over to the German side… 🙂

Ha ha – I certainly wouldn’t mind that. The problem for now is that my budget is very Japanese! 🙂

At my current job, I can ride to work as long as the weather agrees.
I’d love to be able to get 5k miles in!
