Santa Fe Skies RV Park

Looking Northeast toward the Santa Fe ski area

If ever there was an appropriately named RV park, this is It! I don’t normally write a post solely about an RV park, and this is one of those that you really want to keep to yourself, but it was so special, I decided to share it anyway.

Santa Fe Skies is located South of Santa Fe, just off NM 14, aka the Turquoise Trail. The park is located on top of a hill on the Browncastle Ranch and enjoys panoramic views of the Sangre de Christo mountains to the Northeast, and the Jemez mountains to the west, as well as spectacular sunrises and sunsets. We can’t personally vouch for the sunrise, but we surely enjoyed the sunsets!

The park has large, level, mostly pull through sites, and all the expected amenities, such as bathrooms, showers, and laundry facilities. The office building includes a gathering room and a lovely courtyard which I neglected to photograph, except the outside. You can see the entry arch on the left in the photo below.

The really unique things about this park are the artistic sculptures scattered about and the Antique Gas Engine collection! Some of the items were for sale too! As you can imagine, I could not resist capturing a few! 😁

These butterflies are not only beautiful, but they move with the wind and provide cooling for the solar inverters below.

Our incredible site, Z1. Front faces northeast! ❤ Site Z2 between the camera and our rig. It was only empty a few hours.

Our parting view this morning. We’ll be back!

    • 😁 Well, we got some great advice when we were shopping: buy your third RV first. In other words, get what you really want right away, rather than trading in over and over. We have met SO many people that are on their 3rd or 4th rig in a short time.

  1. For what it’s worth – I appreciate your review! We just bought a camper, so being able to hear thoughts about RV Parks from people I trust is a good thing!

  2. We have reservations for this summer. Thanks for your review. Are there certain spots we should ask for or are all just as good as any?

  3. […] We enjoyed incredible highlights such as Carlsbad Caverns, fun sights around Carlsbad, an awesome Santa Fe RV park (and I never post about RV parks), a once-in-a-lifetime chance encounter with motorcycle world […]
