As I ponder the idea of what I am thankful for today, I think back to almost exactly two years ago, when I was two weeks into retirement and wrote this blog post about my feelings at the time. Attitude of Gratitude
On the one hand, I cannot believe I have been retired for two years! On the other hand, it seems so normal now. Which leads me to the thought that it can NEVER be just normal, it must be something I actively, mindfully, am grateful for every day.
I have so many things to be thankful for: the unconditional love of my husband, a large and loving extended family, so many dear friends, both near and far, and the time and means to travel and see this amazing country.
But if I have to choose one thing I am thankful for today, it would be my best friend and lover of almost 22 years…my sweet husband. I know, I know, TWO mushy posts in one week. 🙂 ❤

Prompt: What are you thankful for today
I do love that man ( and you too :))
