On Friday, May 3rd, we had a spectacular weather day in Buena Vista, Colorado (BV); high about 60 degrees and brilliant sunshine. This was fortunate since we had decided to break out the motorcycles for the first time since San Antonio, but of course, we had checked the weather first to choose this beautiful day. πŸ™‚

Rocky Mountain NP: Bierstadt Lake

In late August 2018, a long-time friend of Jerry’s, Pete, and his wife Cathy came to visit us in Estes Park from the DC area. Pete and Jerry had visited the Estes area 40+ years earlier, so it was a bit of a nostalgic visit for them both. We were so grateful to have so many dear friends and family visit during our time in Estes Park…hopefully sharing our experiences there ensures those visits will continue during our 2019 stay as well! πŸ™‚

300+ Miles to Utah, no problem! Part 3: Colorado National Monument

A bittersweet farewell…

I am interrupting my three-part series about our long weekend adventure to Utah to bring you a near-real-time update. I will pick up later and finish all the posts about the fun we had this summer…soon! We left Estes Park, Colorado, and Rocky Mountain National Park on Monday, and suffice it to say, we are sad about that! But this last week and the whole summer has been magical. I will try to share the feeling here.
