Last day on the OR coast, started overcast, then fog & misty rain. Part 2. I had read about the Darlingtonia State Natural area, which hosts carnivorous plants! Aka cobra-lily or pitcher plants. Had to see them, and now you can too! 😁 #everydayadventures #enjoythejourney #oregoncoast

Last day on the OR coast, started overcast, then fog & misty rain. Oh well, we braved the Hobbit Trail, just north of Heceta Head. So cool! Drops you onto Hobbit Beach, through an offering of crab & clam shells! 😮👍😮 #everydayadventures #enjoythejourney #oregoncoast

Yesterday's adventures included hiking 4 miles in Honeyman SP, discovering a cool peddle paddleboard (?), and a visit to the Charleston Marine Life Center! Amazing stuff! Then we capped it off with a great dinner with Bill and Heidi Eber, fresh off their last days at Bonneville Dam! We will all be heading south into California next, so we hope to catch up with them again soon! #everydayadventures #enjoythejourney #oregoncoast #volunteerfriends

Last, but not least: The Cape Blanco lighthouse. Built in 1870, Cape Blanco Lighthouse is the oldest standing lighthouse on the Oregon coast. It also has the distinction of standing at the state's westernmost tip! Unfortunately, it is only open for tours April through October. Stunning! #everydayadventures #enjoythejourney #oregoncoast

Just off the coast of Bandon lies Face Rock, which legend holds is the beautiful daughter Ewauna of the Great Chief Siskiyou, who was taken by Seatka, the evil spirit of the ocean. She lies in the ocean gazing to the clouds in the north.
