Better late than never…Summing up 2013
All over the web, people have been sharing their wrap-ups of last year, and plans for this New Year. I really enjoyed reading the 2013 Roundup from Lily in Canada, with her witty responses to a questionnaire that came from tumblr, so although it is already the second week of January, here is my 2013 summary:
The Joys of Winter riding
As seems to have been the case nearly every weekend lately, the Saturday after Christmas was a wash out. We have had record levels of rain this year in North Georgia, and darn it, it’s getting old! Our feet are webbed, our surroundings are saturated, and we want some SUN! OK, we do have the gear to deal with the rain, but we are TIRED of using it!
Tis the season – a postscript
Earlier in December, I wrote Tis the season about having the opportunity to provide some hope and cheer at Christmas to a family who took the unimaginable step to leave their home for a better future just before the holidays. As part of No One Alone (NOA)’s charter to serve the victims of domestic violence in two local counties, the Adopt a Family program is one that has been a priority for me each Christmas for five years.
Wow has it really been three months????

Holy S#^t, Batman! The sequel…
Some of you (at least two, ha ha!) may recall a recent post about Holy S#^t moments, and I have been remiss in not sharing the outcome in a timely manner. I got all wrapped up in following my passion, and forgot all about the pain. Hmm, is there a really deep blog post in my future?
