I haven’t owned many homes in my life, two on my own, and two with my husband, but the evolution of those homes over time shows a definite movement toward the open concept floorplan. I should caveat that to say I am a big fan of rooms with walls for the more personal aspects of life, such as sleeping and bathing. 😉

What a long, strange trip it’s been. My Mother and I did not have the greatest of relationships during most of my lifetime. I can safely say that we were never close, never felt that bond that so many Mothers and Daughters share. I was a tomboy from an early age, preferring horses and even model cars to girlie stuff. I was my Dad’s daughter, taught to use tools, mow the lawn, drive a stick-shift car, at an early age.

Ok, the challenge is getting more challenging! Just ONE National Park I’d like to visit? We are hoping to visit all the National Parks in Utah this year, and perhaps some in Arizona, New Mexico, and Colorado as well. But if you make me choose…I would have to say Arches National Park would be the one I would select this year. LOL

Anyone who has spent any time in Florida, or along another southern coastline, has at one time or another been awestruck at the overwhelming power and potential devastation of a thunderstorm. If you lived in such an area for any length of time, chances are good that you also experienced a hurricane of some intensity.

I am a fan of many vegetables, I guess I am fortunate for that, given the health benefits. One of my favs is asparagus. I like it steamed, I like it grilled, I like it sauteed, I like it wrapped in prosciutto, and I’ve even been known to eat it raw.
