It was during the tail end of this past winter that, in one day, I received multiples calls, texts, and emails, covering various details and options for a girls’ getaway to Puerto Rico from two longtime friends. When I say ‘longtime’, I mean it. G and I were in middle school together, and L and I went to high school together. And of course, we have many shared adventures from those times forward. Not all can be shared in a public forum. 🙂

Saturday solo ride
This past Saturday I briefly found the old me: A motorcycle rider who is completely happy to explore the beautiful roads of our area alone, since my riding buddy works on Saturday.
Smelling the roses or ???

Set-up: Hub and me, enjoying a late winter ride on one of our favorite curvy local roads.
Emerging from the fog…
My day to day routine of late has been a fog. I feel like I have been just dragging through the work day, and my other responsibilities, while simultaneously watching the weeks and months of 2014 fly by.

Hwy 64 Overlook
Woohoo! I have been sending some of my riding articles out to organizations with a slightly wider audience than my own blog (teehee), and the first one has hit!!!!
How on earth did we walk away?
I typically spend my Saturdays with my Mother, who is 87 and has dementia, and lives in a lovely assisted living facility nearby. This Saturday, I took her to a local charity event created to raise funds for local High School kids who cannot afford to buy their own dresses, tuxedos, hair styles and makeup for their Senior Prom. Mom didn’t completely understand the concept, but she enjoyed the featured speaker, who happens to be my yoga instructor, and the fashion show, featuring beautiful girls in colorful dresses with their handsome escorts in suits and tuxedos. After the event, we went and had a nice lunch, and walked around our little historic square until she was tired and ready to go home.
A review of Identity – Part I by Claire Duffy
I have shared my enthusiasm previously for blogger Claire Duffy, of The Grass Is Dancing, who chronicles her experiences as an expat living in Sweden, for no particular reason, but today I have new news!

Motorcycle Boot review: TCX Infiniti GTX
After a number of years of wearing motorcycle boots that were made specifically for women, which fit great, but lacked in the protective elements that are easily found in men’s boots, I decided to make the decision based on functionality first this time.
